Out Hud was an electronic dance rock band formed in 1996 in the bay area of california (although all members now reside in new york City).
The band consists of guitarist Nic Offer, bassist Tyler Pope, cellist Molly Schnick, vocalist/drummer Phyllis Forbes and mixer Justin VanDerVolgen. Pope, Offer, and VanDerVolgen are also members of the similar band, !!!. The band was signed to the label kranky.
Their latest release, Let Us Never Speak of It Again, saw the group move in a tech house direction and add vocals to their music, with Forbes singing while a drum machine filled in her usual role and Schnick provided backing vocals.

The group disbanded in 2006
